Hygieia was the Greek goddess of cleanliness, sanitation and health, associated with the power to prevent disease. The HYGIEIA Project aims to design an innovative transnational master’s degree, providing scientific knowledge and skills applicable to strategies that ensure health and well-being through non-pharmacological approaches — the use of cosmetics, food supplements, and nutritional and lifestyle education.
This master’s degree aims to attract students from around the world who aspire to a career in the health and well-being industry and related companies, enabling them to make a meaningful contribution to the transformation of societies, not only from an economic perspective, but also by improving public health, thereby increasing the resilience and sustainability of populations.
HYGIEIA will be led by Universidade Lusófona, with the aim of establishing a joint master’s degree involving student mobility across higher education institutions located in at least three Programme Countries — Portugal, Spain and Serbia.
