Paula Pereira is an Assistant Professor at Lusófona University and a researcher at CBIOS. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lisbon ( 2014), and is a member of the Scientific Council of the School of Psychology and Life Sciences.
Her academic career includes more than two decades of teaching, with a particular emphasis on Chemistry and experience across degree programmes in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Food Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Marine Sciences and Chemistry.
Her scientific output comprises more than 100 contributions, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, oral and poster comunication at national and international scientific meetings. She has an h-index of 14 (Scopus). She has supervised academic research projects, participated in academic juries, and actively contributed to multidisciplinary projects in the field of sustainability.
She is also involved in editorial and peer-review activities for international scientific journals and has served as Guest Editor of a special issue. Her scientific career includes distinctions such as the 1st Prize at Ecotrophelia Portugal and the Born from Knowledge Award
