CBIOS PhD Student Wins a COST Grant for Short-Term Scientific Mission

Sofia Ferreira, a PhD student at CBIOS-Alcalá University, has been awarded a ProteCure COST grant for a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) in the Netherlands.

Embarking on her project titled “From Bench to Nematode: Exploring Urolithin B's Bioactivity Against IAPP-Induced Proteotoxicity in Caenorhabditis elegans Models,” Sofia will spend the next two months as a visiting student researcher at the Membrane Biochemistry & Biophysics Lab - Utrecht University, under the guidance of Doctor Tessa Sinnige.
