Patrícia Rijo

Msc, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Chemistry at Lusófona Group (ECTS and ERISA, Lisbon, Portugal) since 2001.

She is a member of Phytochemical Society of Europe and Sociedade Portuguesa de Fitoquímica e Fitoterapia and has several communications and publications in International peer-reviewed journals and meetings.

Her main research interests are natural products isolation, identification and biological activities screening namely antimicrobial, antioxidant, general toxicity, anti-inflammatory and inhibition of acetylcholinesterase.

Paula Pereira

Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias.

First degree and PhD in Chemical Engineering, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon.

MSc. in Biotechnology (Biochemical Engineering), Instituto Superior Técnico, Technical University of Lisbon.

Her main research interests are in evaluation of components with pharmaceutical and nutraceutical obtained by supercritical extraction techniques as well more conventional methods, for comparison purpose.

Marisa Nicolai

Assistant Professor, Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Escola de Ciências e Tecnologias da Saúde.

Graduated in Chemistry, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, 2001.

Master in Physics and Chemistry Teaching, Universidade de Lisboa, 2012.

PhD in Inorganic Chemistry, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, 2009.

Main research interests are evaluation and quantification of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical components and analysis of nutritional components.

Amilcar Roberto

Chairman of the Audit Committee of ALIES.

António Raposo

Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias.

He graduated in Nutritional Sciences in Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde Egas Moniz, 2009 and obtained his PhD with European Mention in Animal Health and Food Safety from the University Institute of Animal Health and Food Safety, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 2013.

He is member of editorial board and invited reviewer of international peer-reviewed journals in his research field.

His main research interests are: Studies on the utilization of Catostylus tagi jellyfish in health sciences, particularly as a food ingredient; Food habits and food safety evaluation, particularly in vending machines; Techniques to evaluate cleanliness and disinfection in dairies.

Cintia Pêgo

She graduated in Human Nutrition and Dietetics in Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain 2010, and has a master degree in Training and Sports Nutrition by the Universidad Europea de Madrid, Spain 2012.

She obtained his PhD with International Mention in Nutrition and Metabolism from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain, and University of Arkansas, USA 2016.

Her main epidemiological research interests are: Mediterranean Diet and mainly the effect of nuts supplementation, the consumption of dairy products, hydration and/ or the consumption of different types of beverages and its relation with health and disease.
